"This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it, the LORD is his name: 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'" (Jeremiah 33:2-3)
Agape is a House of Prayer
We believe that prayer is a big deal. And so we do it a lot.
Why?
We know that God is in charge of our lives and our ministries and thus we check in with Him as much as we can. We believe it is important to remain in close and consistent communication with God who loves us and who wants to lead us on a straight path.
And here is what’s so great: God answers. When we call on the Father in Jesus’ name, He does not screen us or tell us to try again later. There is no voicemail message telling us that He is currently unavailable. Instead, God hears us and gives us what we need and what we want. When we pray, we enter in humbly, thankful and ready to be transformed. God responds by guiding us, encouraging us, challenging us, healing us, teaching us, empowering us and setting us free.
Now that is what I call a ‘good call’.
Check out the following prayer opportunities at Agape:
Intercessory Prayer: Wednesday mornings from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
This is a time of team-prayer where we ‘stand in the gap’ for the needs of the congregation as posted on Sunday’s Response Cards. We also intercede for other known congregational needs and for the salvation of the lost.
Those who have a passion and a gift for intercession are invited to join this team.
Contact Susan Mankarious for more details
Sunday Morning Prayer: Sunday mornings, at 9:30 AM, we invite you to pray with us in a quiet place for 15 minutes before the Worship Service. We also have a prayer response that follows the sermon. At this time, everyone is invited to experience the power of prayer as the Holy Spirit takes the lead.
During this time, some people remain in their seats and rest quietly with God as He speaks to them one-on-one, while others in the congregation come forward to pray with fellow church members.
Breakthrough Prayer: Sunday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Does your life need a breakthrough? Are you struggling with a big decision and need some godly wisdom? Are you suffering with an illness or injury that requires healing? Are you having difficulty overcoming an addiction? Are you anxious about something in life and need peace?
If so, breakthrough prayer is for you. Join us so that we can link you up with a prayer partner who is spiritually gifted in the area of your need. He or she will pray with you and help you receive what you came for. During Breakthrough Prayer we also seek the Lord for the sake of our church.
In addition to these opportunities, our Prayer Team, led by Susan Mankarious, is always ready to hear your prayer needs and to pray with you on an individual basis. Click on Susan's name to contact her and share your desire for prayer.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24-25)
